Description
As a Software Developer, QA Engineer, or SDET, you will be responsible for interpreting application/feature/component designs and developing them in accordance with specifications. You will code, debug, test, document, and communicate product/component/feature development stages. It will be your duty to validate results with user representatives, integrate and commission the overall solution, and select appropriate technical options for development. Your role will involve optimizing efficiency, cost, and quality while influencing and improving customer satisfaction. Additionally, you will be required to set FAST goals for yourself and the team, providing feedback to team members" FAST goals. You will be expected to adhere to engineering processes and standards, project schedules/timelines, and uncover technical issues during project execution. Monitoring and rectifying defects in the code, both pre and post-delivery, and ensuring on-time completion of mandatory compliance trainings will be part of your responsibilities. Your outputs will be expected to align with the design, following coding standards, templates, and checklists. You will review code for your team and peers, create/review templates, checklists, guidelines, standards for design/process/development, and deliver documents like design documentation and requirements test cases/results. In addition, you will define and govern a configuration management plan, review and create unit test cases scenarios and execution, review test plans created by the testing team, and provide clarifications as needed. Your role will involve advising Software Developers on design and development, learning more about customer domains, managing project delivery, defects, estimations, knowledge, and releases. Interface with customers, manage teams, obtain relevant certifications, and exhibit various skills like explaining designs to customers, estimating time and effort, managing teams, maintaining high motivation levels, and engaging with other teams will also be part of your duties. Your knowledge should cover software programs/modules, designing, programming languages, DBMS, operating systems, software platforms, SDLC, Agile/Scrum/Kanban methods, IDE, RAD, modelling technology, and interface definition languages. As a candidate for this role, hands-on experience with Java, Selenium/Serenity or UFT, API Testing (Rest Assured preferred), and designing, implementing, and running test cases will be beneficial. You should possess a passion for driving best practices in the testing space, knowledge of software engineering practices and agile approaches, experience in building or improving test automation frameworks, proficiency in CICD integration and pipeline development in tools like Jenkins, and the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues within the quality assurance environment effectively. Demonstrating a strong desire for establishing and improving product quality, taking on challenges proactively, and working as part of a team will be essential for success in this role.,
