Automation QA (JavaScript)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced QA Engineer with a strong background in Selenium WebDriver and a mandatory proficiency in JavaScript programming. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining automated test suites, ensuring product quality, and collaborating closely with developers and business analysts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver and TestNG/JUnit.
• Enhance and maintain the existing test automation framework. Collaborate with development and product teams to gather and understand requirements to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Perform functional, regression, and integration testing of web-based applications. Log, track, and manage defects using tools such as JIRA or Bugzilla.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Analyze test results and provide actionable insights and reports.
• Ensure effective test coverage and integration within CI/CD pipelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of hands-on automation testing experience using Selenium WebDriver.
• Strong scripting skills in Java or Python.
• Mandatory programming experience in JavaScript.
• Proficient with TestNG, JUnit, or equivalent testing frameworks.
• Familiar with tools like Maven/Gradle, Git, and CI/CD systems such as Jenkins.
• Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and browser DOM.
• Skilled in writing and executing SQL queries.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Good to Have:

• Experience with BDD tools like Cucumber.
• Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter).
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman and RestAssured.
• Prior experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
