AutoCAD Draftsman/woman

As an AutoCAD Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in bringing products from concept to design through to fabrication. Your strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and motivation to exceed expectations will be key in this position. **Key Responsibilities:** - Work closely with customers and sales to develop quotable and manufacturable solutions based on customer requests. - Interpret engineering notes and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to accurately conceptualize and finalize designs. - Visualize concepts in both 2D and 3D formats. - Design standard and custom tooling solutions. - Utilize AutoCAD software to create prints and designs for production. - Generate accurate drawings for custom tools and fixtures within tight time constraints. - Ensure timely delivery of drawings for customer approval. - Potential future responsibilities may include training new designers, serving as a resource for design-related queries, and participating in design review processes. **Qualifications/Experience & Technical Skills:** - Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related Engineering Degree is required. - Proficiency in both 2D and 3D modeling using AutoCAD. - Strong conceptual design visualization skills and the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas. - Familiarity with working on Printed Circuit Board data is advantageous. - Efficient problem-solving skills with a focus on simple solutions for complex problems. - Ability to design intermediate to complex multi-part assemblies with a mechanical design aptitude. - Knowledge of ASME Print Reading and GD&T fundamentals. - Experience in reviewing designs for quality control purposes. - Excellent computer skills and file system management. - Experience with CAM from AutoCAD add-on software is a plus. - General understanding of material properties, uses, machinability, and finishes is beneficial. **Personal Qualifications:** - Fluency in English is a must. - Self-starter with a strong self-motivated attitude. - Professional demeanor with a respectful approach in all situations. - Willingness to be flexible and assist others as tasks evolve. - Positive attitude, team player, and quality-oriented mindset. - Honest with good integrity, reliable, and dependable. - Excellent oral and written communication abilities. - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. **Additional Company Details:** The company is open to freshers applying for the position.
