Job Title: Maintenance Engineer Location: Tiruppur Company : Austro Chemicals & Biotechnologies Private Limited Employment Type: Full-time Experience Required: 3+ years Job Description We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to oversee the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of ZLD, ETP, and RO systems at client sites. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth plant performance, minimize downtime, and uphold safety and compliance standards. Key Responsibilities Perform routine and preventive maintenance on ZLD, ETP, RO, MEE, and associated equipment. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and process-related issues. Monitor system performance parameters and ensure optimal operation. Maintain logs, reports, and documentation of maintenance activities. Coordinate with project and operations teams for upgrades, installations, and process improvements. Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Train operators on standard operating procedures and basic maintenance. Respond to breakdowns and emergency maintenance requirements. Requirements Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related engineering field. 2–5 years of experience in wastewater treatment plants (ZLD/ETP/RO). Strong knowledge of pumps, blowers, filters, membranes, valves, instrumentation, PLC-based systems, etc. Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, schematics, and technical manuals. Hands-on troubleshooting skills and understanding of treatment processes. Good communication, reporting, and teamwork skills. Willingness to travel to client sites when required. Preferred Qualifications Experience with MEE, MVR, UF, and biological treatment systems. Knowledge of safety standards and quality management systems. Familiarity with energy optimization and process efficiency improvements. Salary is negotiable and will be based on experience.
