Audio System Quality Engineer

As an Audio System Quality Engineer for advanced audio products like AirPods/AirPods Pro/AirPods Max, you will have a high visibility role where you will drive firmware quality by creating and executing tests to ensure the customer experience with Apple products. Your responsibilities will include verifying key features of products and software updates, driving quality within your assigned areas, and analyzing field issues to determine gaps in test coverage. Key Responsibilities: - Verify key features of one or more products and/or software updates - Drive quality within assigned areas - Analyze field issues and determine gaps in test coverage - Identify and drive key focus areas cross-functionally - Collect key performance metrics and present them regularly to the executive team Preferred Qualifications: - B.S. or Masters in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering - Demonstrates QA skills with at least 2 complete consumer electronics product cycles - Strong advocate for quality with good understanding of SQA methodologies & practices - Experience/familiarity with hardware and software interaction for embedded systems - Working knowledge of Bluetooth protocols and/or audio digital signal processing - Proven experience leading or managing a team - Experience handling a lab environment and contractors - Strong communication skills - Self-directed, analytical, and work well in a large cross-functional environment - Ability to program or script in Python or other significant programming languages (C++, Objective C, Ruby, JavaScript, etc.) Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering field with minimum 5+ years of experience in quality assurance - Past job experience working with firmware - Validated ability to apply strong QA fundamentals, problem-solving, and analytical skills to identify, track, and drive resolution of HW/SW issues across multi-functional teams,
