Audio Machine Learning Research Engineer

Qualcomm India Private Limited is seeking a research engineer with a strong interest in machine learning focused on generative audio, video, and natural language applications. As part of the Advanced Tech R&D team, you will collaborate with machine learning experts to create cutting-edge technology for mobile phones, headsets, IoT devices, and cloud platforms. This role involves working closely with algorithm, hardware, and software engineers to develop, demonstrate, and commercialize innovative solutions. Your responsibilities will include developing advanced machine learning algorithms for audio and speech generative models, contributing to research papers and patent disclosures, and achieving top-tier performance in various audio and NLP applications. You will also be responsible for integrating features from multiple modalities like video, audio, sensors, and location data, and collaborating with commercialization teams to implement solutions on Qualcomm platforms and customer devices post successful demonstrations. The minimum qualifications for this position include experience in audio and speech generative networks, familiarity with modern machine learning techniques, and proficiency in designing and implementing deep learning algorithms using frameworks like PyTorch and TensorFlow. A Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering is required, while a Doctorate in the same fields is preferred. Additionally, 2+ years of R&D experience in Computer Vision, NLP, or multimodal applications is desirable.
