Description
Role & responsibilities: An AV (Audio-Visual) Engineer is responsible for managing, designing, and maintaining the systems that support audio-visual equipment in various environments, such as conference rooms, auditoriums, theaters, and event spaces. Their role is to ensure that the audio and video systems work seamlessly for presentations, meetings, live events, or broadcasts. Design AV systems for new projects based on client needs, requirements, and space specifications. Create layouts and schematics for the placement of audio, video, and lighting equipment. Choose the appropriate AV equipment for different environments, including projectors, sound systems, and control systems. Oversee the installation of AV equipment, ensuring everything is correctly wired and configured. Set up and test audio-visual equipment before events, presentations, or meetings. Install control systems, such as touch panels or remote management interfaces Diagnose and repair technical issues related to AV systems. Perform regular maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance. Address issues promptly during live events or conferences to avoid disruptions. Ensure that all AV equipment and installations comply with safety standards and regulations. Address any safety concerns regarding cables, equipment, and installations Preferred candidate profile Proficiency with AV Equipment: A strong understanding of audio equipment (mixers, microphones, speakers), video equipment (projectors, displays, cameras), and lighting systems. Knowledge of AV Software: Familiarity with AV control systems, software for live events (such as video switchers, audio mixers, or presentation software), and automation tools. Network Knowledge: Understanding how AV systems integrate with IT infrastructure, including network setups, streaming, and IP-based AV systems.
