Compensation: As per industry standards (CTC split: Fixed 60% + Performance-Linked Variable 20% + ESOPs 20%); PF and ESIC/Health Insurance applicable. Position Overview AATPL is seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager – Business Development & Strategy to support the company’s growth journey in the domains of IoT, Mobility, AI, Smart Technologies and Digital Platforms. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, startup experience, and strategic thinking to drive business expansion, support the CEO in key initiatives, and ensure seamless coordination between clients, stakeholders, and the product engineering teams. Key Responsibilities - The candidate will focus on identifying growth opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and managing key business development projects. Responsibilities include market analysis, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and creating innovative strategies to drive business performance. Additionally, the role will involve preparing business proposals, fostering client relationships, and ensuring alignment with company objectives. 1. Strategic & Executive Support Act as an executive assistant to the CEO for strategic, operational and business initiatives. Support the CEO in planning, analysis decision-making frameworks, and execution of high-priority projects. Provide data-driven insights, prepare briefs, presentations and strategic documentation for internal and external stakeholders. 2. Business Development & Strategy Leadership Lead business development efforts across target sectors, exploring new opportunities, partnerships, products, and markets. Generate and evaluate various strategic options and business models for growth. Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and feasibility studies. Drive revenue growth through client acquisition, engagement and long-term relationship management. 3. Client Interaction & Stakeholder Management Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and partners. Maintain long-term relationships with existing clients while identifying new strategic accounts. Facilitate stakeholder alignment across projects, proposals and strategic initiatives. 4. Product/Platform Oversight Monitor and guide product/platform design and development activities. Work closely with the Product Manager and Engineering teams to ensure timely and quality delivery. Review product roadmaps, feature definitions and sprint planning. 5. Interface Between Clients & Development Teams Translate client discussions, pain points, and expectations into actionable requirements for design and development teams. Ensure clarity, accuracy, and completeness of technical and functional expectations. Facilitate regular sync-up meetings, demos and feedback loops. 6. Requirements Gathering & Documentation Collaboratively gather project requirements from clients and internal stakeholders. Prepare System Requirement Specifications (SRS), functional documents, and solution blueprints. Coordinate with engineering leads to ensure requirement traceability throughout development. 7. Tendering, Proposals & Technical Negotiations Prepare business proposals, technical presentations and responses to RFPs/RFIs. Lead technical negotiations during tendering and client onboarding processes. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with tender conditions and documentation standards. Required Qualifications & Experience Education BE/BTech in Computer Science, Electronics, IT, or related engineering fields. Experience Minimum 3 years of experience in a Startup environment , preferably in IoT, Software, Mobility Solutions, or Smart Technology domains. Hands-on experience in system and product engineering , specifically in: IoT platforms & embedded systems Mobile application architecture (Android/iOS) Mobility and smart-city solutions Experience in AI/ML , Data Analytics , Cloud Computing , and Software Product Development is essential. Strong experience in client-facing roles involving solution design, proposal writing, and technical discussions. Skills & Competencies Strong strategic, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication—both technical and business. Strong leadership and coordination skills to manage multi-disciplinary teams. Ability to thrive in a dynamic, evolving startup environment. Strong documentation skills (SRS, BRD, solution proposals, etc.). Good understanding of project management and product lifecycle.
