Role & responsibilities Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging maths lessons in accordance with the curriculum (e.g., KS3KS5 / GCSE / A-Level or equivalent) Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and abilities. Use a range of teaching strategies, resources, and technology to enhance learning Set high expectations for student achievement and behaviour Assess student progress through assignments, tests, and examinations Provide timely, constructive feedback to support improvement Maintain accurate records of student attainment and progress Prepare students for external assessments and exams Establish a safe, inclusive, and orderly classroom environment Apply school behaviour policies fairly and consistently Encourage a positive attitude towards mathematics and learning Contribute to the development and review of the maths curriculum and department resources Participate in departmental meetings, training, and professional development Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve teaching quality Support the personal and academic development of students. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress Qualifications & Skills Bachelors degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a related field Strong mathematical knowledge and pedagogical skills Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom-management abilities
