Industry Type: Defense Aerospace and Telecom Manufacturing Address: Manesar, Delhi/NCR Job timing for this position: 9:00 am to 6:00 PM Working days: 6 Job title(Position Name): Engineer / Sr. Engineer Department: Operations (Costing & Estimation) Job Summary*: The Estimation Engineer will be responsible for analysing project requirements and preparing accurate cost estimates for electrical system, Wire Harnesses, Cabinets- Indoor & outdoor units, PDU boxes manufacturing and installation. The role involves working closely with sales, engineering, and procurement teams to develop competitive and detailed pricing for electrical control panels, switchboards, and related systems. Key Responsibilities: 1. Project Estimation & Costing: - Review and analyze technical drawings, specifications, and project documents to understand the scope of electrical panel projects. - Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to gather accurate pricing for components like circuit breakers, relays, transformers, control devices, etc. 2. Tender & Proposal Preparation: - Assist in preparing technical and commercial proposals for tenders and bidding processes. - Work closely with the sales team to develop competitive pricing strategies. - Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend alternative solutions that meet the client's needs and budget. 3. Coordination with Engineering & Procurement: - Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to confirm technical feasibility and compliance with industry standards. - Work with the procurement department to validate supplier quotes and secure the best possible prices. 4. Client Interactions: - Participate in meetings with clients to clarify project requirements and present estimation reports. - Address client inquiries regarding cost breakdowns and estimation methodology. 5. Documentation & Reporting: - Maintain records of all estimates, quotes, and revisions. - Provide regular reports on estimation activities and cost analysis to senior management. Requirement s: 1. 2-5 years’ Experience in Cost & Estimation of the projects specially at Defense Manufacturing sectors will be preferred. 2. Must have knowledge about ERP system like SAP or others. 3. Proficient with Advanced Excel and Tools for reporting MIS. 4. Strong understanding of electrical panel design, components, and manufacturing processes. 5. Proficiency in AutoCAD, electrical schematic software, and estimation tools.
