Position : Safety Officer Company : Astral Paints (A Division of Astral Limited) Location : Peenya Industrial Area, Bangalore Experience Required : 2-5 years Qualification : Diploma / B.Sc. and Specialization course in Industrial Safety or Fire & Safety About the Role: Astral Paints is looking for a competent and safety-focused Safety Officer for its Peenya plant in Bangalore. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe work environment by ensuring strict compliance with safety regulations, conducting risk assessments, and promoting a strong safety cultureespecially in a paints and chemical manufacturing setting . Key Responsibilities: Regulatory Compliance & Safety Monitoring: Ensure compliance with statutory safety requirements under the Factories Act and other applicable laws. Monitor daily plant operations to identify and eliminate unsafe conditions or practices. Implement and enforce safe work permit systems , especially for hazardous and confined space jobs. Incident Management: Investigate and document incidents, accidents, and near misses; implement corrective and preventive actions. Maintain accurate records of incidents, inspections, audits, and drills. Hazard Management: Conduct risk assessments , HAZOPs , and job safety analysis (JSA) for production and maintenance operations. Ensure safe storage and handling of flammable materials and chemicals used in paint production . Training & Awareness: Conduct regular safety training programs and mock drills (fire, chemical spill, emergency evacuation). Carry out safety inductions for new employees and contractors. Key Skills & Attributes: In-depth knowledge of industrial safety in chemical/paint manufacturing Experience in hazardous material safety , PPE usage, and permit-to-work systems Good command of local and national EHS regulations Strong communication, documentation, and leadership skills Preferred Qualifications: Degree/Diploma in Engineering or Science + Industrial Safety certification (mandatory) 2-5 years of experience in a paint, chemical, or process manufacturing industry Hands-on experience with flammable materials and VOC control will be an advantage Apply Now: Send your updated resume to ramesh.chaudhary@astralltd.com or connect on WhatsApp at 8353912032
Role & responsibilities 1. Achieve targeted sales volumes within the assigned territory by implementing effective sales strategies. 2. Develop detailed monthly and quarterly sales plans for the territory, ensuring alignment with company objectives. 3. Facilitate timely payment collections in accordance with company policies. 4. Manage project sales pipelines directly or through contractors and dealers. 5. Recruit, train, and motivate contractors, as well as expand and manage the dealer network. 6. Organize product awareness events and promotional activities for dealers, contractors, and painters. 7. Coordinate with Depots/C&FAs to ensure order fulfillment and timely service delivery. 8. Provide regular MIS reports and monitor competitor activities. Educational Qualification • Bachelors Degree in Any Field
