Job Description

Workforce Management: Oversee Industrial Relations and welfare functions for a workforce of more than 2,000 blue-collar employees, ensuring a harmonious and productive work environment. Ensure smooth business continuity through timely manpower planning and deployment as per approved strength. Handle end-to-end recruitment cycle of blue-collar employees including sourcing, selection, joining, and onboarding. Employee Relations: Address and resolve worker grievances related to payroll, shop floor disputes, and welfare concerns. Maintain cordial relations with unionized workforce and union representatives to ensure peaceful industrial harmony. Counsel and motivate workers to reduce absenteeism and promote a productive work environment. Payroll & Appraisals: Provide timely inputs for payroll including attendance, arrears, production incentives, etc. Evaluate and process performance appraisals of blue-collar workers on a regular basis. MIS & Budgeting: Prepare and share IR MIS reports related to manpower and manpower budgeting with senior management on a monthly basis. Training & Development: Plan and execute training programs in coordination with department heads on topics such as shop floor ethics, fire safety, SA8000 awareness, anti-harassment, and motivational sessions. Employee Engagement: Drive employee engagement activities such as shop floor talks, talent shows, birthday celebrations, and family gatherings. Coordinate and support company-wide welfare initiatives like cricket tournaments, academic encouragement programs for workers children, Diwali gift distributions, etc. Welfare & Safety: Facilitate timely distribution of welfare items such as uniforms, raincoats, safety shoes, and other PPE essentials. Desired Candidate Profile: Bachelors degree or MBA/MSW in Human Resources / IR / Labour Welfare or related field. Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills. Prior experience in handling unionized workforce is preferred. Good knowledge of labour laws, factory rules, and statutory compliances. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and drive initiatives independently.
