Job Summary: The Rope Dyeing Shift Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the rope dyeing process, ensuring efficient operations, maintaining quality standards, and managing a team of operators and technicians. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise in dyeing processes, and adherence to safety and production standards. Key Responsibilities: Production Management: Supervise and coordinate daily rope dyeing operations to ensure smooth workflow. Monitor and adjust dyeing parameters to achieve desired color shades and fabric quality. Ensure optimal utilization of machinery, materials, and labor during the shift. Maintain production schedules and minimize downtime through effective planning. Quality Control: Conduct quality checks to ensure color consistency and adherence to customer specifications. Identify defects, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions. Maintain detailed records of dyeing batches, color matching, and process deviations. Team Leadership & Training: Supervise and train machine operators, dyeing technicians, and shift workers. Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide feedback to improve efficiency. Foster a culture of teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement. Safety & Compliance: Enforce workplace safety protocols and ensure compliance with environmental regulations. Conduct safety inspections and ensure the proper handling of chemicals and dyes. Report any safety incidents, equipment malfunctions, or process deviations. Process Optimization: Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement in efficiency and cost reduction. Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure machinery is operating at peak performance. Implement best practices for dyeing techniques and process innovation. Qualifications & Skills: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in rope dyeing or a similar textile production role. Strong knowledge of indigo dyeing, chemical handling, and fabric processing. Leadership and team management skills with experience in supervising workers. Ability to troubleshoot dyeing defects and implement corrective actions. Good communication and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations related to textile dyeing. Work Conditions: Rotational shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required. Working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to dyes, chemicals, and heat. Requires standing for extended periods and physical handling of fabric rolls.
