Job Description Experience Range: 8-12 Years Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end migration projects from Tableau to Power BI, including assessment, planning, redevelopment, and deployment. Analyze existing Tableau dashboards and data sources to design equivalent or optimized Power BI solutions. Recreate Tableau calculations, filters, parameters, and actions using Power BI DAX and visuals. Collaborate with business users to ensure reporting needs are met or exceeded in Power BI post-migration. Convert Tableau data sources and extracts to Power BI-compatible sources such as dataflows, direct query, or import mode datasets. Build reusable Power BI semantic models (star schema preferred) for enterprise-grade reporting. Drive performance tuning and scalability enhancements in Power BI reports and datasets. Work with cross-functional teams including data engineers, DBAs, and business users. Provide training and support to users on Power BI best practices. Document migration steps, data mappings, and dashboard designs. Responsibilities Required Skills: Stakeholder management, delegation and coordination of the team. Strong hands-on experience with Power BI: DAX, Power Query (M), data modeling, and report development. In-depth knowledge of Tableau: calculations, LOD expressions, data sources, dashboards. Proven expertise in Tableau to Power BI migration projects – either greenfield redevelopment or automated tool-assisted migration. Strong understanding of dimensional modeling, star schema, and data warehousing concepts. Proficiency in SQL for complex data extraction and transformation. Familiarity with Power BI Service (workspaces, deployment pipelines, gateway setup).
