Job Description We are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable tax professional to join our tax team in the role of Manager – Direct Taxation for Bristlecone Group, with a focus on Transfer Pricing and BEAT (Base Erosion and Anti-Abuse Tax). The role will require an individual with a strong understanding of both Indian tax regulations and US tax policies, particularly in the areas of Transfer Pricing and BEAT. Key Responsibilities India Direct Tax Compliances: Preparation and filing of corporate income tax returns for the Company in compliance with the Indian Income Tax Act. Ensure timely compliance with all direct tax regulations, including tax payments, withholding taxes, and other statutory filings. Monitor and manage tax assessments, audit processes, and any queries or disputes from the tax authorities. Provide input for quarterly and annual tax provisions and ensuring the accurate reflection of tax matters in financial statements. Ensure accuracy of tax filings, calculations, and reports. Identify opportunities for tax savings and recommend strategies to minimize tax liabilities in compliance with Indian tax laws. Assess and mitigate tax risks related to direct tax matters, ensuring the company is aligned with regulatory requirements. US Direct Tax Compliances: Preparation and filing of US tax filings, including Federal and State tax returns, and manage compliance with IRS regulations. Develop strategies for managing US tax liabilities and mitigate risk related to US tax laws. Advise business teams on US tax implications of cross-border transactions, including impact on foreign tax credits and tax treaties. Advise management on potential tax implications of business decisions, new initiatives, and changing tax laws. Identify and provide solutions that align with the company’s business needs and long-term strategy. Transfer Pricing: Prepare and review of transfer pricing documentation in accordance with both Indian and US tax laws. Provide guidance on transfer pricing policies, intercompany pricing, and ensure compliance with OECD guidelines and local regulations. Analyze the impact of transfer pricing policies on business structures and operations. Managing transfer pricing assessments. BEAT (Base Erosion and Anti-Abuse Tax): Assist in the implementation and monitoring of BEAT provisions, particularly in light of the evolving regulatory framework. Provide insights into the impact of BEAT and ensure compliance with BEAT reporting requirements. Advise on BEAT implications related to intercompany payments and global tax planning. Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance, legal, treasury, and operations teams, to provide tax insights and support business decisions. Liaise with external tax advisors, auditors, and legal counsel as needed to ensure smooth management of tax matters. Required Skills And Qualifications Educational Qualifications: Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent professional qualification. Experience: Minimum 5–8 years of experience in India Direct Tax and US Direct Tax, with a focus on Transfer Pricing and BEAT. Strong understanding of Indian Income Tax Act, US IRS regulations, international tax, and the OECD guidelines on Transfer Pricing. Hands-on experience with tax compliance software and financial analysis tools. Experience in handling tax audits, assessments, and interactions with tax authorities in both India and the US. Skills: In-depth technical knowledge of India and US direct taxation laws, including international tax issues. Expertise in Transfer Pricing documentation and methodologies. Sound understanding of BEAT regulations and its impact on multinational organizations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
