Associate Full-Stack Developer (Backend Focused)

Role Overview: You are being hired as an Associate Full-Stack Developer with a focus on backend development at OutFyx, an innovative product company in Mumbai. As one of the first hires in the engineering team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the product, culture, and technical foundation of the company. Reporting directly to the CTO, you will be involved in hands-on coding, building efficient server-side logic, managing databases, and developing APIs for the company's AI-powered personal stylist app. Key Responsibilities: - Develop, test, and maintain high-quality, reusable PHP code for the backend architecture. - Design and manage well-structured MySQL databases, including schema design and query optimization. - Build and maintain RESTful APIs for the mobile application. - Collaborate with the team to build basic front-end interfaces for internal tools and admin panels. - Integrate third-party services and APIs as needed. - Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software. - Participate in code reviews to ensure high code quality. - Write and update technical documentation. Qualifications Required: - 2-3 years of professional experience in web development. - Strong proficiency in PHP and the Laravel framework or a similar modern framework. - Solid experience with MySQL, including database design and writing efficient SQL queries. - Proven experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs. - Proficient with Git and version control workflows. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude. - Ability to work autonomously and efficiently. - Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a small team.
