ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR, FINANCIAL CRIME CUSTOMER MONITORING

In this role of ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR, FINANCIAL CRIME CUSTOMER MONITORING at HSBC, you will be responsible for various key activities in the Risk & Compliance business. Your main responsibilities will include: - **Model Lead**: Develop a clear vision of the model and development-deployment pipeline aligning with business goals. Ensure the model meets performance criteria and communicate outcomes effectively to stakeholders. - **Facilitate Team member engagement**: Engage with the team to drive program objectives collaboratively. Communicate technical outcomes in a business-friendly manner to senior stakeholders. - **Deliver as per Product Roadmap**: Understand the product roadmap and prioritize features based on business value. Ensure accurate delivery of prioritized product features using the Value Stream model. - **Code optimization**: Adhere to lead Data Science responsibilities within an Agile Scrum framework. Drive optimized code writing and collaboration amongst colleagues. - **Complete Model Documentation and drive Model Approval**: Maintain updated model documents and present models for approval before deployment. Participate in internal/external review forums. - **Release Management**: Support model development as per the strategic framework to keep the solution optimized and future-ready. - **Continuous Improvement**: Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and experimentation to optimize product performance. - **Stay ahead of the curve**: Continuously learn and adapt to emerging trends and technologies in the data science field. - **Contribute as a thought leader**: Develop the next level of solutions in the Customer Monitoring sub value stream. Qualifications required for this role include: - Strong experience in data science or related roles, with a focus on Machine Learning and understanding of Statistical concepts. - Hands-on knowledge of Machine Learning concepts and development codes. - Experience with Google Cloud platform and cloud-based technologies is preferred. - Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills. - Proven ability to convert complex analysis outcomes into a non-technical, business-friendly presentation. - Working experience with Jira and Confluence, and a track record of delivering complex ML models in a fast-paced environment.
