Associate 2, Private Equity, US Tax

As a Tax professional at RSM, you have the opportunity to join the expanding Investment Fund practice. Your role involves preparing partnership tax allocations, workpapers, and U.S. tax returns for Investment Fund work, specifically Hedge Funds & Private Equity. Collaborate closely with U.S. teams to gather necessary information for tax service requirements and ensure compliance with current tax practices and laws. Your responsibilities include self-review and analysis of tax workpapers, identifying and reporting risks, and performing other duties as required. - Preparation of partnership tax allocations, workpapers, and U.S. tax returns for Investment Fund work - Collaboration with U.S. teams to collect required information for tax service needs - Understanding of foreign filings such as 8621, 926, 8886, 8865, 8804 & 1042 - Self-review and analysis of tax workpapers and tax returns (Form 1065) - Completion of all checklists and controls - Staying updated on current tax practices and changes in tax law - Identification and reporting of risk and compliance issues, breaches, and suspicious activities Qualifications Required: - Knowledge in business taxation from a Big 4 or a large national, regional, or U.S.-based public accounting firm - Bachelors and masters degree in accounting (B. Com, MBA, M.
