Assoc Developer, Java Applications Development

Role Overview: As a Java Developer at TransUnion, you will play a crucial role in assessing the company's capabilities and current architecture to drive the implementation of improvements to achieve best-in-class status. Your responsibilities will include working on component-based architecture, development methodologies, project facilitation, multi-platform application design, systems design, requirements/interface design & analysis, estimating, tracking, and change management. Key Responsibilities: - Passionately build best-in-class applications - Demonstrate strong understanding and hands-on experience in Core Java, JEE, Spring, Spring Boot, and Angular - Focus on enhancing the software delivery pipeline for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) - Collaborate closely with onsite and home office teams - Ability to translate complex technical concepts into high-level designs for development teams - Provide thought leadership in developing enterprise-level applications and custom integration solutions - Work with an agile team of engineers to plan, design, and develop customer software - Utilize strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills - Prepare design documents and technical flow diagrams - Conduct peer code reviews and quality checks using tools like Sonar - Leverage expertise in Micro-service architecture and Estimation Techniques & Principles - Experience with Webservice (Rest API), Java Design patterns, and open-source Database like PostgreSQL - Hands-on experience with Java 8 and above, Spring Boot, code version tools like GIT/GITLab, and Agile delivery methodology & tools like Jira/SpiraPlan - Navigate large complex applications and stay updated with technology and product trends Qualifications Required: - 2 to 3 years of Java development experience - Proficiency in Spring framework (preferred) for high volume and high concurrency applications - Strong knowledge of Core Java concepts, Java Design patterns, and Micro-service architecture - Experience in preparing design documents, technical flow diagrams, and conducting peer code reviews - Familiarity with Object-Oriented design principles and software development best practices - Excellent written and verbal communication skills Please note: This is a hybrid position that requires performing job responsibilities virtually and in-person at a TransUnion office location for a minimum of two days a week.,
