SAP HANA DB Modeler/Developer" is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data models within the SAP HANA database, utilizing advanced modeling techniques to optimize data access and analysis for reporting and applications, often collaborating with business analysts to translate requirements into efficient database structures while ensuring data integrity and performance within the HANA platform. Must have skills should includeHana Views( Analytical, Calculation etc.) , SAP HANA XS JavaScript and XS OData services, Advanced DB Modelling for Hana, SAP HANA Data Services ETL based Replication amongst others. Minimum 2 3 end to end implementations. Key responsibilities may include Data Modeling Designing and creating complex data models in SAP HANA Studio using analytical views, attribute views, calculation views, and hierarchies to represent business data effectively. Implementing data transformations, calculations, and data cleansing logic within the HANA model. Optimizing data structures for fast query performance and efficient data access. Development Writing SQL scripts and stored procedures to manipulate and retrieve data from the HANA database. Developing custom HANA functions (CE functions) for advanced data processing and calculations. Implementing data loading and ETL processes to populate the HANA database. Performance Tuning Analyzing query performance and identifying bottlenecks to optimize data access and query execution. Implementing indexing strategies and data partitioning for improved query performance. Collaboration Working closely with business analysts to understand data requirements and translate them into technical data models. Collaborating with application developers to integrate HANA data models into applications. Security and Governance Implementing data security measures within the HANA database, defining user roles and permissions. Maintaining data quality and consistency by defining data validation rules.
