Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Structural Engineer to join our team at Mott MacDonald. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural engineering principles and practices, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Roles and Responsibility

Assist in the design and development of structural engineering projects, including buildings, bridges, and infrastructure.
Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with design specifications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues during project execution.
Develop and maintain detailed records of project documentation, including designs, calculations, and test results.
Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and technicians on structural engineering principles.
Participate in quality control processes to ensure high standards of workmanship and materials.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field with a focus on structural engineering.
Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles, including building codes, zoning regulations, and industry standards.
Proficiency in structural analysis software, such as SAPs and finite element methods.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions with minimal supervision.
