Assistant Professor – Mathematics

Job Summary

The Assistant Professor (Mathematics) is responsible for teaching mathematics courses, mentoring students, supporting academic planning, and contributing to research and institutional requirements in accordance with UGC and affiliating university norms.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach UG/PG Mathematics courses as per university syllabus.
• Prepare lesson plans, course files, teaching materials, and assessments.
• Handle core areas such as Algebra, Calculus, Differential Equations, Statistics, and Applied Mathematics.
• Conduct internal tests, assignments, tutorials, and student evaluations.
• Guide students in projects, problem-solving sessions, and academic competitions.
• Contribute to research, publications, and academic enrichment activities.
• Maintain academic records and support NAAC/IQAC documentation.
• Participate in departmental meetings and institutional committees.

Qualifications

• M.Sc in Mathematics (Mandatory)
• NET/SET or Ph.D. as per UGC norms
• Teaching experience preferred (freshers may apply where permitted)
