Job Description

As an Assistant Manager in the Litigation and Tax Advisory team at NNMS & CO, your role will involve assisting in managing litigation cases and providing tax advisory services to clients in order to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Key Responsibilities: - Drafting Replies to Notices: Prepare accurate and timely responses to legal and tax notices from authorities, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. - Attending Personal Hearings: Represent clients during personal hearings, articulating their positions clearly and effectively to the authorities. - Preparing and Filing Appeals: Develop and submit appeals for clients, ensuring that all documentation is thorough and submitted within deadlines, and that the arguments presented are well-founded. - Drafting Opinions on Tax Matters: Analyze complex tax issues and provide clear, concise written opinions for clients to aid in their understanding and decision-making. - Assisting in Client-Authority Communication: Facilitate effective communication between clients and relevant authorities, ensuring that clients" inquiries and concerns are addressed promptly and accurately. - Assist in preparing and managing litigation documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery materials. - Conduct legal research and summarize findings to support ongoing litigation. - Collaborate with external counsel on litigation strategies and case management. - Provide tax advisory support, including compliance, planning, and research on relevant tax laws and regulations. - Prepare detailed reports and presentations on litigation and tax matters for internal stakeholders. - Assist in the development of policies and procedures related to litigation and tax compliance. Qualifications: - Semi-qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or Lawyer. - At least 2 years of relevant experience in tax law, compliance, or related areas. - Strong knowledge of tax regulations and legal procedures. If you are open to working 6 days a week from 10 AM to 6 PM at the Chamarajpet office in Bangalore, possess the required qualifications, have relevant experience in drafting replies to notices, attending personal hearings, preparing and filing appeals, and drafting opinions on tax matters, we encourage you to apply for this Full-time, Permanent position.
