Assistant Manager

Purpose/Objective

Engineer - Maintenance (BOP) is responsible for the maintenance, operation, and optimization of all Balance of Plant (BOP) systems in a renewable energy plant, including mechanical, electrical, and civil components. This role ensures the efficient and safe operation of auxiliary systems such as transformers, switchgear, and other BOP equipment. The Engineer performs routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensures compliance with safety standards while contributing to overall plant performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities of Role

Preventive Maintenance Execution: Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance on BOP System & equipment and components, adhering to established procedures and timelines. Perform regular inspections, testing, and performance assessments to identify potential issues before they affect operations. Corrective Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Address and resolve equipment malfunctions by executing corrective maintenance tasks as per protocols. Assist in troubleshooting issues with BOP systems, identifying root causes, and implementing appropriate solutions to maintain system reliability. Adherence to Safety Standards: Follow all safety guidelines and procedures while performing maintenance activities on AC systems. Participate in safety meetings, audits, and trainings to ensure a zero-accident work environment. Follow environmental and safety protocols in all maintenance activities, including waste disposal, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and incident reporting. Operational and Performance Monitoring: Monitor BOP system performance metrics, including availability, reliability, and efficiency, and report any deviations to supervisors. Conduct routine checks and diagnostics, capturing accurate data for performance analysis and reporting. Inventory and Spare Parts Management Support: Assist in the maintenance and management of tools, tackles, and spare parts inventory to ensure availability for critical maintenance tasks. Document spare part usage and requirements to support efficient inventory control. Compliance with Maintenance Standards: Follow established maintenance policies, procedures, and protocols in line with regulatory standards. Assist in maintaining records of maintenance activities and comply with regulatory reporting requirements. Support in Contractor and Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with contractors and vendors on-site during maintenance activities, ensuring adherence to company standards. Report any issues with contractor performance or compliance to supervisors for further action. Record-Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and spare part usage. Generate maintenance reports, update SAP or relevant software, and provide feedback to enhance data-driven decision-making. Actively participate in improvement initiatives and training sessions to enhance technical skills and knowledge. Support the identification and implementation of process improvements to increase maintenance efficiency. Qualifications and Experience

Educational Qualifications: B.E./B.Tech/Diploma - Electrical or Electronics or relevant to Energy Sector Work Experience: 1-5 years of experience in Energy Sector is must.( If Diploma holder: additional 2-3 Y Exp. req.)
