Job Profile: Assistant Laser Cutting Operator

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Laser Cutting Operator in executing daily laser cutting activities as per production plan
• Independently handle loading and unloading of metal sheets safely and efficiently
• Verify raw material specifications such as size, thickness, and grade before cutting
• Ensure proper handling, identification, and stacking of cut components to avoid damage
• Perform first-piece and in-process quality checks under operator or supervisor guidance
• Support nesting optimization to reduce material wastage and improve yield
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and 5S standards in the laser cutting area
• Carry out daily machine cleaning and assist in basic preventive maintenance activities
• Monitor availability and proper usage of consumables such as nozzles, lenses, and gases
• Promptly report machine abnormalities, breakdowns, or quality issues to the operator/supervisor
• Maintain basic production records, shift logs, and material movement documentation
• Strictly follow safety procedures, PPE usage, and fire safety norms
• Coordinate with bending and assembly teams for timely transfer of cut parts
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to cutting efficiency and quality
• Demonstrate working knowledge of laser cutting operations and quality standards

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Mandatory)
• ITI certification – Good to have, but not mandatory
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in laser cutting or sheet metal fabrication preferred
• Must have knowledge of laser cutting machines and sheet metal processes
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and measurements
• Awareness of shop-floor safety practices and PPE usage
• Willingness to work in manufacturing environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹216,000.00 - ₹285,000.00 per month
