Applications are invited from well-qualified, innovative, and research-driven candidates for Faculty Positions in the Department of Electronics, offering B.Sc. Electronics at PSGR Krishnammal College for Women (Autonomous), Coimbatore — an institution committed to academic excellence, applied learning, and women empowerment in science and technology.

Discipline: Electronics

Program: B.Sc. Electronics

Positions Available: Assistant Professor / Associate Professor / HOD

Educational Qualification (As per UGC / Bharathiar University Norms):

• Ph.D. in the relevant discipline is mandatory for Associate Professor and Professor positions and preferred for Assistant Professor.
• Master’s Degree in Electronics / Applied Electronics / Electronics and Communication / Physics (with specialization in Electronics) or equivalent with a minimum of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade).
• Candidates who have cleared NET / SET or possess a Ph.D. (as per UGC Regulations 2018) are eligible to apply.

Experience Required:

• Assistant Professor: Minimum 8 years of teaching / research / industry experience with scholarly publications. Candidates with a strong academic background and technical competence. Proven academic leadership, research supervision, and publications in reputed journals.

Areas of Specialization (Preferred):

• Analog and Digital Electronics
• Microprocessors and Embedded Systems
• Communication Systems
• VLSI Design and PCB Fabrication
• Internet of Things (IoT) and Smart Devices
• Industrial and Instrumentation Electronics
• Programming in C / Python for Electronics Applications

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Teaching and mentoring students in the B.Sc. Electronics program.
• Designing and upgrading laboratory experiments to meet current industry standards.
• Supervising student projects, mini-projects, and innovation-driven assignments.
• Promoting experiential and hands-on learning in line with NEP 2020 and Outcome-Based Education (OBE) frameworks.
• Engaging in research, publishing papers, and pursuing funded projects.
• Coordinating value-added courses, technical events, and industry interactions.
• Contributing to institutional initiatives such as Centre for Innovation and Incubation, sustainability, and digital transformation.

Desirable Attributes:

• Strong conceptual understanding and practical skills in modern electronics.
• Ability to integrate technology, simulation tools, and digital pedagogy in teaching.
• Collaborative mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous learning.
• Proficiency in handling modern lab equipment, circuit design tools, and microcontroller platforms (Arduino / Raspberry Pi).

Remuneration:

Salary and benefits will be commensurate with qualification, experience, and institutional norms.
