TGT Science Teacher — Ashrafia Group, DurgPosition Trained Graduate Teacher (Science) Location Ashrafia Group, Durg, Chhattisgarh Reporting To Academic Coordinator / Principal Key Responsibilities Teaching & Lesson Planning Plan, prepare and deliver science lessons for students of Classes VI to X as per the curriculum adopted by Ashrafia Group. Use a variety of instructional methods (lectures, practicals, demonstrations, experiments) to make the science subjects interactive and engaging. Laboratory Work & Practical Sessions Conduct practical experiments and ensure that students understand theoretical concepts through hands-on work. Maintain the science lab, ensuring safety protocols are followed and equipment is well-kept. Assessment & Evaluation Develop assignments, tests, quizzes, projects, and home work to assess students’ understanding. Evaluate students’ work timely; track performance and maintain accurate records of assessment and attendance. Student Support & Remediation Identify students who are struggling; provide additional support or remedial classes as needed. Mentor students for stronger understanding, critical thinking, problem-solving skills. Classroom Management Maintain discipline and a positive, inclusive learning environment. Ensure classroom rules are adhered to, and manage student behavior in line with school policy. Curriculum Alignment & Development Align teaching plans with school curriculum, board standards (if any), and with changes / updates in syllabus or pedagogical methods. Collaborate with other science teachers to enhance curriculum and co-curricular activities (science fairs, labs etc.). Communication & Reporting Interact with parents during parent-teacher meetings to discuss student progress, strengths and areas for improvement. Prepare and submit periodic reports to Academic Coordinator or Principal about class performance, attendance, behavior, etc. Professional Development Stay updated with latest developments / best practices in science education, lab pedagogy, and teaching methods. Participate in school training, workshops, seminars. School Activities & Extra Duties Take part in school events, extracurricular activities, field trips, and science-related programs. Any additional duties assigned by the school administration. Qualifications & Skills Essential Bachelor’s Degree in Science subject (e.g. B.Sc. in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or equivalent). Bachelor of Education (B.Ed). Good communication skills (Hindi & English preferred). Ability to teach practical and theoretical components of Science. Desirable Prior experience as TGT Science teacher in a CBSE / ICSE / State Board school. Experience in handling lab classes and experiments. Strong interpersonal skills, creative teaching ability. Comfortable with using modern teaching aids / digital tools. Experience Preferably 1-3 years of teaching experience at secondary level (Classes VI-X). Freshers may be considered if they demonstrate strong subject knowledge and teaching aptitude.
