As a Senior Supply Chain Manufacturing Engineer in Moog, reporting to the Manager, Regional Supply Chain, you will be based onsite in Bangalore, IN. Your primary responsibility will be to assist suppliers in resolving manufacturing issues on Moog parts and Assemblies or Supplier IP parts and Assemblies. You will collaborate with suppliers to establish efficient techniques for manufacturing parts to print, ensuring quality through proper manufacturing techniques. Your active participation in the Moog Supply Chain transformation, particularly in adopting AS9145 on the zero defects journey, will be crucial. This position is located in Torrance, CA. Your role as a Senior Manufacturing (Supplier Development) Engineer at Moog will involve: - Supporting the fabrication of complex machined parts and sub-assemblies by providing technical expertise and support for suppliers. - Conducting part risk assessments with suppliers and reviewing manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with engineering drawings and specifications. - Coordinating with various departments and team members to understand and communicate design intent to suppliers. - Evaluating suppliers" manufacturing capabilities and providing engineering quote support. - Coordinating operation sheets with Moog suppliers for both outside and inside operations. - Recommending tooling, fixturing, and gaging concepts to aid suppliers in manufacturing complex components. - Assisting suppliers in resolving manufacturing problems related to Moog parts. - Providing technical guidance on manufacturing specifications and reviewing new product designs for manufacturing concerns. - Conducting DFX activities with suppliers and Moog design on new designs. - Reviewing PPAP submittals, participating in FMEA activities, and conducting gage R&Rs and MSAs to establish correlation and minimize gage issues. - Reviewing process capability data and actively participating in the Moog Zero Defect journey utilizing AS9145 concepts. - Traveling up to 25% to supplier facilities. Minimum Qualifications To Be Considered: - Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. - 5 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience, including determining process capability. - 5 years of experience working with the supply chain for product requirements, negotiation, and problem-solving. - Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to influence.
