About the Role We are looking for a passionate and skilled Commis I Patisserie to join our culinary team in Gurgaon. As a Commis I in the pastry section, you will be responsible for producing high-quality desserts, pastries, and baked goods under the guidance of the Pastry Chef. Your creativity, attention to detail, and consistency will contribute to delivering an exceptional guest experience. Key Responsibilities Prepare, bake, and decorate pastries, desserts, and breads as per menu and standards. Assist in developing new pastry items, flavor combinations, and presentations. Maintain hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards (FSSAI compliance). Ensure consistent taste, texture, and quality across all pastry items. Organize mise en place for the pastry section and assist in service as required. Monitor stock levels, minimize wastage, and report shortages to the Pastry Chef. Support junior staff and maintain a positive kitchen environment. Requirements Diploma or certification in Bakery & Patisserie / Culinary Arts from a recognized institute. Minimum 2 - 3 years of experience in a similar role in a hotel, restaurant, or patisserie. Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, chocolate work, and dessert plating. Familiarity with international and contemporary pastry trends. Excellent attention to detail, creativity, and time management. Flexible to work in shifts, weekends, and festive periods.
