Artificial Intelligence/ Machine Learning Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Machine Learning / AI Engineer to join our team at Zenardy. Your primary responsibilities will include designing, developing, and deploying machine learning models to address complex business problems. You will work through the entire ML lifecycle, from data collection and preprocessing to model training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring. Collaboration with data engineers, product managers, and software engineers is essential to integrate ML models into production systems. You will also be expected to conduct research to stay current with the latest ML/AI advancements and optimize models for performance, scalability, and robustness. Additionally, documenting methodologies, experiments, and findings for technical and non-technical audiences, as well as mentoring junior ML engineers or data scientists when necessary, are key aspects of the role. The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field, along with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. Demonstrable hands-on experience in at least 3 ML/AI projects, preferably in production or with real-world datasets, is required. Proficiency in Python and ML libraries/frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, and XGBoost is essential. A solid understanding of core ML concepts like supervised/unsupervised learning, neural networks, NLP, and computer vision is a must. Experience with model deployment using APIs, containers (Docker), and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) is expected, along with strong data manipulation and analysis skills using Pandas, NumPy, and SQL. Knowledge of software engineering best practices including version control (Git), CI/CD, and unit testing is also required. Preferred skills include experience with MLOps tools (MLflow, Kubeflow, SageMaker, etc.), familiarity with big data technologies like Spark, Hadoop, or distributed training frameworks, and a background in Fintech environments would be advantageous. A strong problem-solving mindset, excellent communication skills, experience working with vector databases, and an understanding of RAG vs Fine-tuning vs Prompt Engineering are also desirable qualities.
