Schedule and confirm patient appointments using the hospital’s appointment system. Register new patients and update existing patient records accurately. Provide information about hospital services, doctors’ availability, and visiting hours. Collect co-pays, fees, and issue receipts when required. Manage and organize the reception area to ensure it is clean and welcoming. Handle patient admissions and discharge processes (if required). Maintain confidentiality and security of patient information as per HIPAA and hospital policies. Liaise with medical staff and departments to coordinate patient flow and services. Receive and sort mail, deliveries, and correspondence. Qualifications and Skills: High school diploma or equivalent (Required). Certificate in Medical Office Administration or related field (Preferred). Previous experience in a medical or hospital setting is an advantage. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Good organizational and multitasking abilities. Proficient in using computers, scheduling software, and office equipment. Knowledge of medical terminology (Preferred). Strong interpersonal skills and ability to handle stressful situations calmly. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
