For Branch Manager - Bancassurance

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Team Management:

  Handle, train, and monitor an on-roll team of 6 to 10 sales managers or relationship managers assigned to the channel.

• Branch Network Handling:

  Manage 10 to 12 partner bank branches (or 2 to 3 smaller units depending on the scale).

• Sales & Target Achievement:

  Drive the execution of the business plan to meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual branch/cluster insurance premium targets.

• Relationship Building:

  Establish strong, trusted coordination with the partner bank's Cluster Heads, Branch Managers, and bank staff to facilitate smooth lead generation and cross-selling of life, health, or general insurance products.

• Activity & Performance Tracking:

  Monitor daily activities, pipeline planning, and conversion metrics of walk-in and bank-provided leads.

• Compliance & Service Quality:

  Ensure high policy persistency, control attrition, maintain service turnaround times for claims/medicals, and keep mis-selling or compliance complaints to a minimum.

For Relationship Manager -

Core Responsibilities

• Partner Relationship Management:

  Build and maintain strong daily rapport with bank branch managers, tellers, and staff to generate insurance leads and ensure smooth coordination.

• Sales & Target Achievement:

  Drive cross-selling and sales of insurance policies through assigned bank branches to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual business targets.

• Customer Engagement:

  Identify customer financial/insurance needs, conduct product presentations, and recommend suitable policies.

• Post-Sales & Persistency:

  Assist customers with policy issuance, handle service queries, and maintain a healthy persistency ratio (renewal rates).

• Compliance & Reporting:

  Ensure all sales follow regulatory guidelines (IRDAI/internal bank compliance) and submit regular Management Information System (MIS) and sales reports to supervisors.
