To develop effective systems and procedures for professional management of the Purchase & Stores functions to relive the promoters from these activities and to support the increasing volumes. • After stabilizing Purchase & Stores functions, to develop the strategy for implementing Supply Chain Management (SCM) in line with modern management practices and as required by key customers. • Developing reliable supplier base for ferrous scrap, ferro alloys, refractories & other steel plant consumables and electrical and mechanical spares and components and for various services including transport contracts. • Review and rationalization of supplier base retaining only the reliable suppliers to drive quality and optimize cost. • Develop and implement suppliers quality management activities. KPIs • Ensure availability of all materials at optimum cost. • Improvement of delivery periods. • Supplier base rationalization. • Development of effective storage system.
OBJECTIVE: Maintain all mechanical and electrical systems focusing on quality, safety and reliability and undertake maintenance, repair and improvement of electrical systems: Plan preventive maintenance of mechanical & electrical equipment. Prepare equipment wise and itemize list of drawings, specification, documents required for conducting proper maintenance work. Troubleshooting breakdowns. Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance work. Follow instructions in the equipment manuals and drawings. Calling outside agencies for repair as needed. Maintain stock and records of Mechanical & Electrical equipment and spares, anticipate needed supplies and take proactive actions for spares availability. Manage Maintenance Management System (MMS). Maintain records of all preventive maintenance, breakdowns and equipment history cards. Supervise ITIs, technical staffs who are reporting and train them. Ensure safety compliance as per laid down procedure. Find out solutions to day to day Mechanical & Electrical problems, undertake small projects and estimate cost, timescale and implement them. Establish predictive maintenance practices and set up complete review system so that useful insights can be derived from such predictive maintenance activities. Familiar with SMS equipment, Utility, Gearbox, Auxilaries, HT systems, EOT cranes, Arc Furnaces, AC drives, PLC, Instruments, Casters. Carry out the automation plant, fitness audits, health check-ups and residual life analysis of the equipment so that decisions can be made for just in time repair / replacement of the spares can be done to ensure reliability of operation.
Key Responsibilities: 1. Administrative Support Manage executive calendars, schedule appointments, and organize meetings. Prepare agendas, minutes, and necessary documentation for meetings. Draft, review, and manage correspondence, reports, and presentations. Handle telephone calls, emails, and other communication on behalf of the executive. 2. Coordination & Communication Serve as a liaison between the executive and internal/external stakeholders. Coordinate with different departments for smooth information flow and task execution. Maintain effective communication and follow-up on pending matters. 3. Travel & Event Management Plan and coordinate domestic and international travel, including visa processing, ticketing, accommodation, and itinerary preparation. Assist in organizing official events, conferences, and business meetings. 4. Documentation & Record Keeping Maintain and organize confidential files and records (digital and physical). Track and manage executives expenses and reimbursements. 5. Office & Task Management Ensure the executives office runs efficiently with minimal supervision. Handle general office administrative duties as required. Support in preparing MIS reports, data analysis, and project tracking if required.
