Overview / Responsibilities

SK Architects is inviting applications for the position of Architectural Draftsman (CAD) at our Kannur office. The role is suited for experienced professionals who can produce high-quality architectural drawings and coordinate with design and project teams for a wide range of projects including hospitality, healthcare, public infrastructure, and cultural institutions. The candidate must be proficient in preparing accurate working drawings, detail drawings, and 3D models as per architectural standards.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed 2D drawings including plans, sections, elevations, and construction details using AutoCAD.

Develop basic 3D architectural models for design coordination and presentations using AutoCAD or other relevant tools.

Interpret architectural concepts, sketches, and mark-ups to produce working drawings and documentation for construction.

Coordinate with architectural and engineering teams to integrate structural, MEP, and interior design elements into the final drawings.

Draft layouts for site development, floor plans, joinery details, façade elements, ceiling designs, and millwork as per design intent.

Maintain drawing documentation, version control, and ensure timely submission of drawings to consultants and site teams.

Incorporate design revisions and site changes as instructed by the principal architect or project architect.

Skills & Qualifications

Diploma or ITI in Architecture / Civil Draftsmanship or equivalent.

Minimum 10 years of experience in architectural drafting for varied building typologies.

Proficient in AutoCAD (2D mandatory). Basic knowledge of Revit or SketchUp is an added advantage.

Strong understanding of building construction techniques, materials, and detailing standards.

Familiarity with working drawings for hospitals, resorts, public buildings, and interior detailing.

Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Strong documentation and organizational skills with attention to detail.
