Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents to determine welding requirements.
Set up welding equipment and select appropriate electrodes or filler materials.
Perform arc welding (e.g., SMAW, GMAW, FCAW) on various metals and components.
Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning, cutting, or grinding as needed.
Inspect completed welds for accuracy, strength, and quality.
Perform basic repairs and adjustments to welding equipment as needed.
Follow all safety procedures, including the use of PPE and safe handling of tools.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Preferred candidate profile

Education & Certifications

ITI / Diploma in Welding, Fabrication, or Mechanical Engineering.
Valid welding certification from recognized bodies (e.g., AWS, ASME, or equivalent).
Additional training in safety practices or NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) is a plus.

Experience

25 years of hands-on experience in arc welding (SMAW, MIG, TIG, or FCAW) in industrial, construction, or fabrication environments.
