Description
As a BI Developer at Curriculum Associates, you will play a crucial role in analyzing requirements, designing software solutions, developing scalable software, and optimizing BI solutions to drive the continuous improvement of our innovative programs. Your responsibilities will include: - Analyzing requirements: Collaborate with stakeholders to scrutinize requirements for new software applications or enhancements to ensure that developed software fulfills customer needs. - Designing software solutions: Contribute to crafting detailed design specifications for data models, ETL Processes, and data pipelines to support BI initiatives, steering the development process to meet functional and technical demands. - Developing and deploying scalable software: Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Power BI, ensuring scalability, efficiency, data accuracy, integrity, and security throughout the BI ecosystem. - Optimizing Solutions: Optimize and tune BI solutions for performance and scalability, ensuring compatibility with business needs. - Performing unit testing: Conduct thorough unit testing of developed dashboards and reports to ensure data quality and accuracy by implementing data validation, testing, and monitoring frameworks. - Debugging and troubleshooting: Skillfully debug and troubleshoot reports and dashboards to ensure uninterrupted operation and minimal downtime for end-users. - Providing technical support: Offer expert technical support and guidance to end-users by applying Power BI best practices effectively. - Staying updated with technology: Remain abreast of emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in BI and data domain, integrating relevant advancements into software solutions. - Collaborating with the team: Foster effective communication and coordination throughout the software development lifecycle by collaborating with IT team members, data engineers, project managers, and end-users. - Documenting processes: Document processes, procedures, and technical specifications related to software development and deployment, facilitating knowledge sharing within the team. Required Job Skills and Abilities: - Expertise with software development tools, including IDEs, Git, Jira, DevOps principles, and CI/CD pipelines. - Experience providing technical support and guidance to end-users during the implementation and deployment of software applications. - Strong analytical thinking skills and the ability to understand complex requirements and design software solutions accordingly. - Proficiency in industry-standard testing methodologies and debugging techniques. - Ability to document processes, procedures, and technical specifications related to software development and deployments. Required Education and Experience: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field. Relevant education and professional experience may be considered instead of a bachelor's degree. - 5+ years of experience in BI development, data analysis, or related roles. - 3+ years of experience in Power BI. - Proficiency in building visually appealing Dashboards, reports, SQL, and data modeling. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Relevant certifications are desired.,
