Application Support Engineer

As an Application Engineer at our company, you will play a crucial role in maintaining, monitoring, and troubleshooting 24x7 mission-critical production systems. Your responsibilities will include ensuring high availability and performance of the systems, monitoring key parameters, maintaining backups, and debugging application-level issues. In addition, you will collaborate with the engineering and product teams to provide valuable insights for improving system performance and reliability. You will also have the opportunity to develop new features and integrations in coordination with the development team. To excel in this role, you should possess at least 5 years of experience in application support or a related field. Strong knowledge of Linux and Linux commands, experience with MySQL and MongoDB, and proficiency in at least one programming language such as JavaScript are essential. You should be comfortable working in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and demonstrate excellent logical aptitude and problem-solving skills. An awareness of cloud technologies and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment will be beneficial. Additionally, a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and systems is key to success in this position. Ideally, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field. Possessing certifications such as RHEL or others would be advantageous in this role.,
