Application Developer

Job Summary: As an SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC) Consultant , you will play a critical role in designing, building, and configuring applications using SAP BPC to meet business process and application requirements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze business needs, develop solutions, and ensure the efficient functioning of SAP BPC applications. Your expertise will be key in maintaining and enhancing technical documentation and providing troubleshooting support to ensure optimal performance. Roles & Responsibilities: Application Design and Configuration: Design, build, and configure applications using SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (SAP BPC) to meet client business process and application requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and analyze business requirements, ensuring the developed solution addresses the client's needs effectively. Develop technical documentation that details the application development process, configuration, and architecture for future reference and troubleshooting. Technical Support and Troubleshooting: Provide technical support for SAP BPC applications, including debugging and troubleshooting issues within the system. Focus on enhancing and maintaining the BPC 10.1 Embedded version , ensuring proper functionality across both planning and consolidation modules. Work with Fox and ABAP codes to debug, enhance, and develop planning functions within the BPC environment. Business Process Management (BPF) & Template Configuration: Hands-on experience with Business Process Flow (BPF) , Process Templates , and Process Instances , configuring work statuses, user roles, and teams within SAP BPC. Ensure effective configuration and management of BPC workflows to facilitate seamless planning and consolidation processes. Advanced Analytical and Integration Skills: Experience working with Analysis for Office workbooks and leveraging them for efficient data analysis. Develop and manage SAP HANA Calculation Views for improved business insights and reporting. Proficient in VBA Coding to enhance and automate the reporting and analysis functions within SAP. Real-Time Consolidation & Integration: Hands-on experience in real-time consolidation within S/4 HANA and configuring the relevant tools and processes. Expertise in Eclipse Client Tool for effective integration and customization of SAP BPC solutions. Professional & Technical Skills: Must-Have Skills: At least 5 years of experience in SAP BPC , specifically in the Embedded version (BPC 10.1) , with a focus on both planning and consolidation modules. Strong technical skills with Fox and ABAP programming , particularly for enhancing planning functions and debugging existing code. Expertise in Business Process Flow (BPF) configuration and related elements like Process Templates , Work Status , and teams . Hands-on experience with SAP HANA and Calculation Views for data analysis and reporting. Proficiency with VBA coding to support reporting and analysis tasks. Good-to-Have Skills: Familiarity with other SAP modules , such as SAP SAC , SAP FICO , SAP MM , and SAP SD , for better integration and overall system understanding. Experience with real-time consolidation in S/4 HANA and using tools such as Eclipse Client Tool for configuration and management. Soft Skills: Strong analytical skills to evaluate complex requirements and develop effective solutions. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on business needs and technical requirements. Strong problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot and resolve application issues in a timely manner. Excellent communication skills , both written and verbal, to clearly document processes and present solutions to stakeholders.
