In this role, you'll work in one of IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where deep technical and industry expertise is delivered to a wide range of public and private sector clients globally. These delivery centers offer locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and new technology adoption. Your Role and Responsibilities The Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) is a critical role in cloud-based projects. An SRE works with development squads to build platform and infrastructure management automation while ensuring service monitoring is performed using software development methodologies. SREs bridge development and operations by applying a software engineering mindset to system administration. They split time between operations/on-call duties and developing systems/software to enhance site reliability and performance. Required Education Bachelor's Degree Preferred Education Master's Degree Required Technical and Professional Expertise 12+ years of experience in cloud operations and reliability engineering. Expertise in Monitoring, Automation, and Remediation strategies. Hands-on experience with monitoring tools such as New Relic, Prometheus, ELK, Distributed Tracing, APM, and AppDynamics. Strong troubleshooting skills, including documenting root cause analyses and automating incident response. Deep understanding of architecture, SRE mindset, and data models. Platform Architecture and Engineeringability to design and architect Cloud platforms to meet Client SLAs/NFRs such as availability and system performance. Define environment provision frameworks, identify performance bottlenecks, and design cloud platform enhancements. Preferred Technical and Professional Experience Ability to effectively communicate with business and technical teams. Strong creative problem-solving skills and superb communication abilities. Telecom domain experience is a plus.
