Job Description

Location: Pan India

Skills: Api Testing, Rest Assured,Swagger, Postman

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and execute API test scenarios for REST and SOAP services.
Create and maintain automated API test scripts using
Rest Assured
.
Perform functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end API testing.
Validate API requests, responses, headers, payloads, and status codes.
Use
Postman
for API testing, collection creation, and automation.
Review and validate API specifications using
Swagger/OpenAPI
documentation.
Perform data validation by querying databases using SQL.
Identify, log, track, and verify defects using defect management tools.
Participate in requirement analysis, sprint planning, and Agile ceremonies.
Integrate API automation suites into CI/CD pipelines.
Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA teams to ensure API quality.

Required Skills

3 to 8 years of experience in API Testing.
Strong hands-on experience with
Postman
for API validation and automation.
Expertise in
Rest Assured
with Java for API automation frameworks.
Good understanding of
Swagger/OpenAPI
specifications.
Experience in testing RESTful and SOAP web services.
Strong knowledge of HTTP/HTTPS protocols, JSON, XML, JWT, OAuth, and API authentication mechanisms.
Experience with Java and TestNG/JUnit frameworks.
Knowledge of API mocking and contract testing concepts.
Strong SQL skills for backend database validation.
Experience with defect tracking tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps.
Familiarity with Git version control systems.
Understanding of STLC, SDLC, and Agile methodologies.

Preferred Skills

Experience with microservices architecture.
Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter.
Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
