API Integration Engineer Azure & Kafka

As an experienced API Integration Engineer with 4-8 years of experience, you will be responsible for developing and managing secure, scalable API integrations using Azure services and Kafka. Your primary role will involve performing event-driven messaging with Kafka and ensuring seamless integration with third-party systems. Your key responsibilities will include RESTful API development with OpenAPI/Swagger, Azure integration using API Management, OAuth2, and Managed Identity, as well as Kafka event streaming and pub/sub messaging. You will also be involved in integrating with systems such as MES and SharePoint, handling data transformation, mapping, and endpoint integration, and maintaining strong API security using OAuth2, JWT, and API keys. In this role, you will need to have experience in integration patterns including point-to-point, hub-and-spoke, and pub/sub. You will also be responsible for testing the integrations through Unit, Integration, and UAT testing phases. Strong documentation skills are essential to ensure clear and comprehensive documentation of the integrations. This position is remote, and the ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
