Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Clinical Support: Assist in pre-operative and post-operative care for patients undergoing head and neck surgeries. Help manage patients with tracheostomy, nasogastric tubes, or feeding tubes. Monitor vital signs and promptly report abnormalities to the nursing in-charge. Support in maintaining airway hygiene and oral care for patients post-surgery. Assist in dressing changes and wound care under supervision. Patient Assistance: Aid patients with mobility, feeding, toileting, and hygiene. Provide compassionate support to patients with speech or swallowing difficulties. Help patients follow post-operative instructions, including physiotherapy or voice therapy routines. Infection Control & Cleanliness: Maintain aseptic techniques during procedures and while handling surgical patients. Ensure cleanliness of the ward, equipment, and patient surroundings. Follow all hospital infection control protocols. Documentation & Coordination: Maintain accurate records of patient care activities. Assist in documenting fluid intake/output, nursing charts, and daily care summaries. Coordinate with senior nurses for scheduling follow-up visits and patient education. Qualifications and Skills: Certified ANM from a recognized nursing training institute. Registered with the State Nursing Council. Familiarity with basic nursing procedures and patient handling. Empathetic approach, especially towards patients with communication impairments.
