Android & iOS Developer (Intern)

Hostelery Stuff is a peer-to-peer platform focused on simplifying student life by facilitating the buying and selling of second-hand essentials like books, cycles, furniture, and electronics. As a React Native Developer Intern with knowledge in Python Django, you will have the opportunity to work on an app that is already live and making a difference in solving real problems for students. As a Mobile Developer Intern, your responsibilities will include building and maintaining Android & iOS features using React Native with Redux, developing backend functionalities and integrating REST APIs built in Django, debugging, testing, and optimizing app performance for both platforms, designing and implementing clean UI with intuitive UX, implementing real-time feedback into development tasks, and contributing to backend tasks and minor enhancements in Django when required. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with React Native and state management using Redux, familiarity with Android Studio, Xcode, and device debugging, working knowledge of Python Django including basic CRUD and API development, understanding of Firebase, push notifications, and mobile storage solutions, strong problem-solving skills, clean coding habits, and eagerness to learn. A degree in Computer Science or a relevant field is preferred. Bonus skills that would be beneficial include proficiency in Git version control and collaborative development, experience with Django Rest Framework (DRF), and familiarity with app deployment on Play Store / App Store.
