Hostelery Stuff is a peer-to-peer platform designed for college students to engage in the buying and selling of second-hand essentials such as books, cycles, furniture, and electronics. The primary goal of the platform is to streamline student life by encouraging sustainable and affordable campus transactions. We are seeking a proactive full-stack mobile developer who specializes in creating seamless cross-platform experiences. Hostelery Stuff, the first campus-centric second-hand marketplace in India, is in search of React Native Developer Interns with a background in Python Django for the backend. As an Android & iOS Developer (React Native + Python Django) Intern at Hostelery Stuff, you will have the opportunity to work on an existing app that addresses genuine student needs. The internship duration ranges from 1 to 3 months based on performance, with an immediate start date. The compensation offered is between 9K to 14K as a stipend, with openings for 2 interns. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and manage Android & iOS features utilizing React Native along with Redux. - Create and maintain backend functionalities and incorporate REST APIs constructed in Django. - Troubleshoot, test, and enhance app performance for both platforms. - Design and implement a user-friendly UI with a focus on intuitive UX. - Integrate real-time feedback mechanisms into development assignments. - Assist with backend tasks and minor upgrades in Django as required. Requirements: - Proficiency in React Native and experience in state management using Redux. - Familiarity with Android Studio, Xcode, and device debugging. - Knowledge of Python Django, encompassing basic CRUD operations and API development. - Understanding of Firebase, push notifications, as well as mobile storage solutions. - Strong problem-solving abilities, adherence to clean coding practices, and a strong desire for continuous learning. - Pursuing or holding a Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field. Bonus Skills: - Proficiency in Git version control and collaborative development. - Previous exposure to Django Rest Framework (DRF). - Familiarity with app deployment protocols on Play Store / App Store.
