LOCATION- BANGALORE ONLY Job Description Develop and prototype new, innovative user experiences on Android with a focus on camera, AR, and 3D interactions. Leverage native Android capabilities, including ARCore, Camera2 API, and sensors (IMU, Gyroscope) to build immersive features. Integrate and optimize 3D rendering engines (e.g., OpenGL ES, Vulkan, Filament) for smooth and responsive performance across a wide range of Android devices. Build reusable, modular, and performant components within the Android application. Work closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to rapidly iterate and ship features. Focus on application performance, including memory usage, CPU utilization, and battery life, to ensure a flawless user experience. Essential Skills Deep expertise in React Native, Kotlin and the modern Android development toolchain (Android Studio, Gradle). Strong experience with modern Android architecture patterns (MVVM, MVI) and components (Jetpack, Coroutines, Flow). Proven experience working with the Android Camera APIs and/or hardware sensors. Hands-on experience or a strong desire to learn AR/3D technologies on Android (e.g., ARCore, OpenGL ES, Sceneform/Filament). Excellent debugging skills and a deep understanding of Android performance tuning using tools like Profiler. A passion for building polished, pixel-perfect user interfaces that are both beautiful and performant. Ability to prototype and iterate quickly in an agile environment with a high degree of ownership.
