Implement value engineering strategies to enhance product performance, reduce costs, and ensure sustainability in designs. Material Selection & Sourcing: Ensure optimal selection of materials that meet the required mechanical properties, environmental considerations, and manufacturing constraints. Work with the procurement team to source materials, ensuring timely availability and compliance with industry standards. Analysis, Simulations & Validation Finite Element Analysis (FEA): Lead the execution of FEA simulations to validate the mechanical design’s structural performance, including stress , strain , fatigue , and vibration analyses. Use ANSYS, Nastran, Abaqus, or similar FEA tools to ensure that designs meet required performance, safety, and operational standards before physical testing. Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD): Utilize CFD simulations for thermal management and fluid flow analysis of systems such as heat exchangers, pumps, cooling systems, etc., to optimize efficiency and reduce energy consumption. Prototyping & Testing: Oversee the creation of physical prototypes, ensuring that all design specifications are accurately replicated.
