(AIPC) Audio SW Customer Support Engineer, Sr.

As a Qualcomm Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, modifying, and validating embedded and cloud edge software, applications, and specialized utility programs to create cutting-edge products. You will collaborate with various teams to design system-level software solutions and ensure that the products meet and exceed customer needs. Minimum qualifications for this position include a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field with at least 2 years of Software Engineering experience. Alternatively, a Master's degree in the same fields with 1+ year of related work experience, or a PhD with 2+ years of academic or work experience in programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc. In this role, you will join the Qualcomm Customer Engineering team and work with leading WoS (Windows on Snapdragon) compute device makers from design and development to the commercial launch of Qualcomm compute SoC products. You will need expertise in audio system architecture, working with Audio Software DSP technologies and Windows Audio S/W Architecture. Key responsibilities will include customizing Windows ARM-based audio software drivers for OEMs, collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide solutions to customer problems, and supporting OEMs/Tier-1/Tier-2s with Audio Digital Signal Processing and Windows audio system architecture customizations. You will also be involved in audio performance measurement, analysis, and optimization, creating technical documentation, providing training to customers, and supporting audio tuning efforts for certifications like Teams, Zoom, Cortana, and Alexa. Minimum qualifications for the Audio Software Application Engineering role include a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, with at least 3 years of Software Applications Engineering experience, 3+ years of experience with programming languages like C, C++, and 3+ years of experience with embedded systems. Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, along with working experience in DSP, optimization of algorithms, and real-time debugging. Hands-on experience with tools like HEAD Acoustic ACQUA System, HATs, and tuning audio processing algorithms for quality enhancement are also desirable. As a RAS and Manageability Controller Firmware Developer at Qualcomm, you are expected to have a minimum of 4+ years of experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc., and at least 8+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
