Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and proactive AI Specialist to spearhead the adoption and integration of artificial intelligence solutions within our accounting operations. This role will be pivotal in automating manual processes, improving data accuracy, supporting tax and audit prep, and enhancing overall operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a passion for AI and machine learning, hands-on experience with AI deployment, and a background in accounting or finance sector automation. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with leadership and functional teams to identify key areas for AI-driven improvements in accounting, tax, and audit workflows. Design, develop, and implement AI solutions such as data extraction, document classification, anomaly detection, and automation of repeatable tasks. Train and fine-tune machine learning models using company data, ensuring compliance with US and Canadian accounting and regulatory frameworks. Integrate AI tools with existing software platforms (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Excel, etc.). Lead training sessions and workshops for staff on the use of new AI tools and workflows. Monitor AI system performance, troubleshoot issues, and recommend enhancements. Stay abreast of emerging AI technology trends, especially those relevant to accounting and finance. Document processes, model parameters, and provide regular updates to stakeholders. Ensure all data handling and AI use adheres to client confidentiality and international data privacy laws. Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in AI/ML development and implementation—accounting industry experience highly preferred. Proficient in machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn). Experience with natural language processing, OCR, and RPA (Robotic Process Automation) tools. Familiarity with common accounting platforms (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and their APIs is an advantage. Strong programming skills in Python, R, or similar languages. Excellent communication and training skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical staff. Proven project management and problem-solving abilities. Preferred Attributes: Experience in US/Canadian tax, accounting, or audit process automation. Certifications in AI/ML or data science. Knowledge of US/Canadian data privacy and security regulations (e.g., SOC 2, PIPEDA). Prior experience in an outsourced or BPO environment. Why Join Us?
