Job Description

As a Senior Manager at Pfizer, your primary responsibility will be to lead complex projects across the organization with your advanced knowledge of artificial intelligence and analytics. You will play a crucial role in supporting the design, development, and management of AI solutions and products, contributing to the company's digital and data-first strategy. Your tasks will include front-end development using frameworks like React.js, collaborating with User Experience teams to ensure high-quality user experiences, designing and developing APIs using frameworks like FastAPI, and architecting solutions for scalability, security, and reliability. Additionally, you will oversee and coordinate the work of software and services vendors, assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure timely delivery of project milestones. To excel in this role, you must have a BA/MS in a STEM field, along with 10+ years of experience in a technical field or advanced degree plus experience. You should also possess 7+ years of experience in software development, with expertise in languages such as Python (FastAPI experience preferred) or Javascript (React.js experience preferred). Project management or team leadership experience, as well as experience providing code reviews in Python, are essential qualifications for this position. Moreover, you should have demonstrative success in problem-solving and critical thinking in a fast-paced collaborative environment, a strong understanding of RESTful API design and implementation, familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure and deployment platforms, and hands-on experience in project management tools and agile development practices. Strong communication and presentation skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and adapt to changing requirements are also crucial for success in this role. While a Master's degree and relevant pharmaceutical industry experience are considered nice-to-have qualifications, your ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes, and create business impact are essential for this position. The work location for this assignment is remote, providing you with the flexibility to work from anywhere.
