AI Engineer (Python & Machine Learning)

As an AI Engineer at our company, you will utilize your expertise in Python and machine learning to develop, train, and optimize AI models. Working within the AI & Data Science department, you will collaborate with various teams to create scalable solutions and enhance the performance of machine learning systems in production environments. Your responsibilities will include designing and optimizing machine learning models using Python and modern frameworks, collaborating with cross-functional teams to define AI solution requirements, and performing data preprocessing and feature engineering to prepare datasets. You will also be involved in model training, validation, and performance evaluation, tuning hyperparameters, and experimenting with model architectures to improve accuracy and efficiency. Documentation of model workflows, methodologies, and code for transparency and reproducibility will be essential. You will assist in deploying AI models to production, monitor their performance, and refine them over time. Staying updated on the latest research papers, tools, and best practices in AI and machine learning will be crucial, along with participating in code reviews and maintaining high standards for clean and maintainable code. In addition to a strong proficiency in Python with a focus on AI/ML development, you should have a solid understanding of machine learning algorithms such as regression, classification, clustering, and deep learning. Experience with ML frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn is required, along with proficiency in data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation metrics. Familiarity with Jupyter Notebooks, collaborative development tools like Git, and strong problem-solving skills are also necessary for this role. Desirable skills include experience with model deployment tools and platforms like Docker, Flask, FastAPI, and AWS SageMaker, knowledge of MLOps practices, and familiarity with NLP, computer vision, or time series modeling. An understanding of distributed computing frameworks, experience with experiment tracking tools like MLflow or Weights & Biases, and exposure to cloud services for AI model development and deployment are advantageous for the position.
